Venezuelan Foreign Minister received Copies of Style from the new Chilean ambassador

This Tuesday the Chancellor of the Republic, Yván Gil, received the Style Copies of the new Ambassador from Chile to Venezuela, Jaime Gazmuri.

The information was released by the Chancellor, who through his account on the social network Twitter, indicated that he received the Style Copies of the new ambassador of Chile designated in the country.

Gil considers that this new designation is “symbol of the commitment assumed by both governments in favor of advancing towards a new stage of strengthening diplomatic relations between our nations.”

“We received the Copies of the Style of the new Chilean Ambassador appointed to our country, Jaime Gazmuri, a symbol of the commitment assumed by both governments in favor of advancing towards a new stage of strengthening diplomatic relations between our nations,” the Foreign Minister published on Twitter. .

A Press release of the Foreign Ministry reports that Gazmuri is a 79-year-old politician who is a member of the Socialist Party and served as a senator for more than 20 years, between 1990 and 2010.

In addition, between 2014 and 2018, during the second term of Michelle Bachelet, he served as the Ambassador of Chile in Brazil. He also held important positions during the administration of former President Sebastián Piñera.

Normalization of relations

With the appointment of the Chilean diplomat and his arrival in Venezuela, a new step is taken to normalize and strengthen relations between the two countries.

Recently, Foreign Minister Yván Gil met with the Chilean Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs, Alex Wetzig, with whom he discussed the commitment to increase diplomatic and consular work, as part of the reconstruction of relations between Venezuela and Chile.

Venezuela and Chile are in a stage of progressive strengthening of their relations.

It is important to highlight that during the forest fires registered in the month of February in the southern nation, the Bolivarian Government sent a contingent of the Simón Bolívar Humanitarian Task Force to support the extinction of the flames.

Likewise, both governments have established cooperation mechanisms to address issues associated with Venezuelan migration in the south of the continent.
