Venezuelan boy died in a traffic accident in Mexico

An 11-year-old Venezuelan boy died in a traffic accident that occurred last Friday night at kilometer 62 of the El Seco – Azumbilla highway in the Santa Ana Ocotepec Cañada Morelos population in Puebla, Mexico.

The information was confirmed by the Government of Tehuacán through its Twitter account @TehuacanGob in which it published the list of injured and deceased people, according to data collected by the National Institute of Migration of Mexico.

Among the fatal victims, the Venezuelan boy Johendry José Laguna was identified, who died at the scene.

In addition, two Venezuelans were injured in this accident. Carmen Ortega, 43, and Carmen Rosa Laguna, without data, who are in serious condition at the General Hospital of Tehuacán, Puebla and Hospital Ciudad Serdán, respectively.

It transcends in social networks and the media that the Venezuelans are the mother and sister of the deceased minor.

Seven other people also died in the accident, including five women, two of Cuban nationality, two Ecuadorians and one of unknown origin, as well as an Ecuadorian baby aged 1 year and 8 months and another minor who has not yet been identified.

Among the nine injured people there are seven in serious condition and they are of Cuban, Ecuadorian, Honduran and Honduran nationality. Nicaraguan.

11 Ecuadorians involved in the accident

According to a report from the Ecuadorian Foreign Ministry released this Tuesday morning, the number of Ecuadorians involved in the accident is 11 people.

“We regret to report that the Mexican authorities have provided new information (…) from which it follows that there would be 11 Ecuadorians involved in the accident in Puebla,” reported the Foreign Ministry statement released by local media in Ecuador.

Likewise, the diplomatic mission of Ecuador pointed out that “so far, it is known that three of them have died, including a minor.”

This Monday the Ecuadorian Foreign Ministry through its Twitter account @CancilleriaEc issued a first statement lamenting the accident in which it indicated “at least 17 migrants of different nationalities were involved, who sought to arrive irregularly in the United States.”

Deceased

  1. Yaritza Rodríguez Bruzón, 43-year-old Cuban. She passed away at Tehuacán General Hospital.
  2. Tamara, a Cuban of unknown age, died at the scene.
  3. María Piedad Cocha Lutuala, 24-year-old Ecuadorian. She passed away at Tehuacán General Hospital.
  4. Darla Abigail Manzano, an Ecuadorian woman aged 1 year and 8 months, died at the scene.
  5. Nelli Margoth Negrete, a 22-year-old Ecuadorian, died at the scene.
  6. Johndry Laguna Ortega, an 11-year-old Venezuelan, died at the scene.
  7. Unidentified woman died at the scene.
  8. Unidentified minor died at the scene.

Wounded

  1. Daimirys Morales Jerez, 30-year-old Cuban. She is in serious condition at Tehuacán General Hospital.
  2. Milida Manzano Lutuala, 35-year-old Ecuadorian. She is in serious condition at Tehuacán General Hospital.
  3. Dayana Michelle Criollo Burhuan, 14-year-old Ecuadorian. She is serious Hospital del Niño Poblano.
  4. Ericzon Alexander Burhuan, 7-year-old Ecuadorian. He is in serious condition at the Poblano Children’s Hospital.
