Venezuelan accused of attempted femicide is captured in his attempt to flee to Chile

Ángel Carpavire Tovar, 24, was captured by the Police after being searched after being denounced for attempted femicide. The man had fled from the Santa Cruz capital, when the residents of the Las Pampitas neighborhood surprised him by hanging with their hands who was his partner at the time.

The event was recorded on Saturday, February 12, where fortunately, the neighbors prevented the 18-year-old woman from be victimized by the Venezuelan citizen, with whom he had a romantic relationship for a year.

The director of the Special Force to Fight Violence (Felcv), Colonel Edson Claure, indicated that the 24-year-old citizen was apprehended in Cochabamba, trying to flee to Chile.

“In coordination with the departmental directorates of the Felcv of Oruro and Cochabamba is that it is possible to apprehend Angel Carpavire this Monday at 7:00. East subject had staged an attempted femicide last Saturday, around midnight,” he said.

The victim ended up with injuries and bruises on her body, the same one that had been handcuffed, but after the intervention of the neighbors, she was referred to a medical center.

“We carried out the investigations and the man was hidden first in Oruro, later went to Cochabamba, trying to flee to Chilean territory,” reiterated.

Carpavire was transferred around noon this Monday to the Santa Cruz capital on a flight that arrived at the Viru Viru airport, the same one that will be put before a judge charged with the crime of attempted femicide.

“YOnce the necessary precautions have been taken, the Prosecutor’s Office will issue Interpol and Migration background information that the subject might have in criminal and police matters,” he said.
