Venezuela strengthens the promotion of Human Rights.

The ambassador and permanent representative of Venezuela to the United Nations (UN), Héctor Constant, announced working meetings with several UN officials, with the aim of continuing to strengthen Venezuela in the promotion of human rights in all scopes.

Constant held “two warm meetings, with Morris Tidball-Binz, Special Rapporteur on Extrajudicial Executions, and with Edgar Corzo and Pablo García, president and member of the Committee on the Protection of Migrant Workers, respectively,” the diplomat wrote in a published post. On twitter,

The Venezuelan official, who also represents the country before the other international organizations in Geneva, Switzerland, published on the social network the photographs of the different meetings held, where Venezuela was shown to be fully willing to achieve the full application of human rights each topic covered by the committees present.

The Committee for the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families (CMW) is a body established in 2004, and its main task is to carry out periodic reviews to assess the compliance and performance of the States member on the rights and standards established in the Convention, through the review of reports, in addition to receiving individual communications and investigations, once ten States accept the Committee’s powers in this area.
