Venezuela reinforced its military presence on the border with Colombia

The operational strategic commander of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), Domingo Hernández, confirmed that a military group was deployed in the state of Apure, specifically in the border region with Colombia to support another military group in the area.

Hernández detailed on his social networks that the objective of this deployment is to combat “Colombian drug-trafficking armed terrorist groups in any of its forms, call it what it’s called”, while waiting for “strengthen the territorial defense system.

The military deployment occurs after the Venezuelan guerrilla called the Bolivarian Liberation Forces (FBL) issued a statement in which denounces that the THE N the town of La Gabarra was taken, in the state of Apure, and made a call for popular mobilization.
