The Minister of Communication and Information of the Nicolás Maduro regime, Freddy Ñáñez, issued this Friday the usual daily report on the cases of covid-19 in the country during the last 24 hours.
In the balance, the Chavista official pointed out that for this May 13, 2022, 31 new cases of coronavirus were detected to raise the number of infections to 522,921 since the start of the pandemic last March 2020.
In the count, the government representative pointed out that 29 of the total reported cases correspond to community infections, with the most affected states being Monagas (10), Miranda (8).

He indicated that two cases were detected at the Comprehensive Social Care Post of the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, Vargas state, “one from Cuba and the other from Turkey.”
In the same way, he regretted the death of a person due to the disease, with which 5,711 have been counted since the start of the pandemic in the country, while detailing that the deaths are “a 53-year-old man from the Monagas state.
Ñáñez said that, of the 522,921 confirmed cases, 516,170 people have recovered, which represents 99% of the infections. “We have 1,040 active cases, 224 are being treated in the public health system, 49 in private clinics and 767 in supervised community care.”
“To date we have 634 patients who are asymptomatic, 324 with mild Acute Respiratory Failure, 57 with Moderate Acute Respiratory Failure and 25 in the Intensive Care Unit,” he said in another message.
