Venezuela advocates reversing the “Triple Planetary Crisis” that threatens human existence created by the intervention of man and the production model of exacerbated capitalism, Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez highlighted this Thursday.
During his virtual participation in the Stockholm+50 International Meeting held in Sweden, Rodríguez called for the necessary and responsible actions to be taken to preserve the planet.
In this sense, he stated that governments and peoples must make urgent decisions to reverse this environmental situation.
“It is our urgent responsibility and our only opportunity in the face of the Triple Planetary Crisis, which threatens the existence of the human species,” he said.
The Stockholm+50 International Conference: A Healthy Planet for All – Our Responsibility, Our Opportunity, is organized by the Government of Sweden, with the support of Kenya, and aims to accelerate the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.
On this occasion, the 50th anniversary of the convening and holding of the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment (1972) and the fiftieth anniversary of the creation of the United Nations Environment Program are commemorated.
