Foreign Minister Yván Gil sent congratulations to the Republic of Barbados on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, regarding the 58th anniversary of its independence from the United Kingdom.
In a message published on his social networks, the Minister of Foreign Affairs also points out that “Three years ago, Barbados took a significant step by leaving its colonial past behind and proclaiming itself a Republic for the first time in its history.”
Likewise, congratulations were extended to “Prime Minister Mia Mottley on this important anniversary of Caribbean self-determination.”
It should be noted that the cooperative relations between Venezuela and Barbados have been strengthening within the framework of the peace diplomacy carried out by the Bolivarian government.
