The Republic of Venezuela and the Government of the Canary Islands (Autonomous Community of Spain) on Wednesday strengthened historical, cultural and friendship ties.
The information was released through his account on the social network Twitter, the Foreign Minister Yván Gilwho held a meeting with the President of the Government of the Canary Islands, Angel Victor Torreswho is visiting the country fulfilling a work agenda.
Gil indicated that during the meeting the ties and relations of cooperation between both nations were discussed.

First official visit of the President of the Canary Islands
From February 4 to 11, the president of the Canary Islands (Spanish autonomous community), Ángel Víctor Torres, makes his first official visit to Venezuela.
During his stay in the country, Torres will hold meetings with institutional representatives, with members of the Spanish embassies, as well as informative and cultural meetings with Canarian residents in the country.
