The Chancellor of the Republic, Iván Gil, held a working meeting this Tuesday with the Russian ambassador, Sergey Mélik-Bagdasárov, with the aim of reviewing and strengthening bilateral relations.
Through his Telegram channel, he highlighted that said meeting scheduled within the framework of the 80 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, which will be held next March, was focused on commercial cooperation and the diplomatic alliance between both countries, “in the context of the proximity of the 80th anniversary of the establishment of ties between our peoples.”
Likewise, Gil stressed the objective of strengthening ties between both nations. In the publication he also added that the space was given to discuss preparations for the next commemoration of Victory Day on May 9, “an emblematic date on which the Red Army achieved the defeat of fascism in Europe.”
With this meeting they continue to consolidate a diplomatic relationship that both nations consider fundamental for their independent economic and social development.
