Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi said that the Islamic Republic of Iran’s policy is to increase the level of cooperation with Latin American countries, especially considering the various capacities available.
The Iranian president made these statements in a meeting held this Tuesday with the special envoy of the president of Venezuela and the Venezuelan Minister of Transportation, Ramón Velásquez, in Tehran, outlined the IRNA agency.
Stating that relations between Tehran and Caracas are rapidly expanding and progressing, Raisi added: “The Islamic Republic of Iran has been a friend of Venezuela during its difficult times.”
Referring to the policy of developing trade and economic relations of the Islamic Republic of Iran with friendly countries, he emphasized the importance of increasing the level of cooperation between Iran and Latin American countries, especially considering the various existing capacities, adding: “We We are willing to expand relations with Venezuela in all areas, especially in trade, energy, technology, science and defense”.
For his part, Ramón Velásquez expressed his satisfaction with the level of expansion of relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and his country and highlighted the efforts of Caracas to increase the level of economic, commercial, transit and political cooperation.
Likewise, referring to Iran’s technical and engineering capabilities, the Venezuelan president’s special envoy called for expanding interactions between the two countries in this field.
In this meeting, the Venezuelan Minister of Transportation, who heads the joint Iran-Venezuela economic cooperation commission, presented the message of the President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, to Raisi.
