Paid parking is requested in the Historic District

The proposal is aimed at being framed in the exclusion area corresponding to the historical case of the capital, extending along Av. Gral. Flores and up to Route 1. The port area is also contemplated.

The paid parking does not cover departmental vehicles but foreigners who are in the city temporarily.

“This project does not have a collection purpose but rather aspires to convene, through calls made by the Municipality, the non-profit public welfare institutions that want to participate in this initiative to, in this way, be the recipients of the payment thereof. An issue that the Mayors also considered is those residents of the historic center who do not have their own garage. There the system would allow them to process an exception and a badge (Tag-Seal) to place on the vehicle itself alerting them to their private parking at no cost, “the councilors indicate.

They consider that “it will be necessary to consider areas to implement paid parking and what is referred to as clear parking markings for birodades. The latter exempt from payment. Likewise, the seats understand the support and approval from the National Ports Administration to be relevant so that the project can be carried out”.

The initiative aims to “order traffic, prioritize Colonials throughout the department, take care of the exclusion zone, increase traffic safety and support non-profit institutions”
