Balance released today (6), in São Paulo, reveals that vehicle production in Brazil increased by 15.1% in November (206,000 units), compared to October (179,000 units). Compared to November 2020, there was a drop of 13.5%. The data are from the National Association of Automotive Vehicle Manufacturers (Anfavea).
There were 173,000 licensed vehicles last month, a drop of 23.1% over November 2020. According to Anfavea, it was the worst performance for November in 16 years. In relation to October, there was an increase of 6.5% in licensing.
The entity highlighted the unprecedented supply crisis, caused by the global shortage of semiconductors. “Even with a slight improvement of 6.5% in sales compared to October, the results were far below for a historically heated month,” informed Anfavea.
Exports had a result below expectations, with 28 thousand units shipped in November, down 6% from the previous month. In comparison with November 2020, there was a drop of 36.3%.
