The sweltering heat has caused the air conditioning to be used much more frequently than on other occasions, reported UTE.
“For three or more years in summer there is the peak of consumption in the summer at noon and in the night in winter” he indicated.
The Uruguayan Institute of Meteorology reported that the heat wave will last until Saturday with temperatures reaching 40°C in some parts of the country.
