UTE announced benefits for US$ 600 thousand to victims of fires, floods and winds

The company estimates that the bonus will reach about 15,600 customers for an amount of the environment of the US$600 thousandreported in a statement on Thursday.

Customers who have had service interruption for at least 24 continuous hours will receive an exceptional bonus on your next bill. It consists of the discount of the entire amount of the fixed charge and for contracted power.

What’s more, a percentage of 3.33% of the energy amount of the last invoice generated for each day of interruption will be exempted.

This includes those who suffered damage to the energy supply, between December 20 and January 25 lastas resolved by the company’s board this Thursday.

In the period considered, there were heavy rains, fires in forested areas, storms with intense winds and floods, and consecutive weather alerts during most days.

This led to damage to the electrical network, with the difficulties associated with its replacement, given the exceptional nature of the situation, due to the overlapping of consecutive events in a sensitive period.
