In a statement released on the night of Thursday the 12th, the opposition coalition once again committed itself “to carrying out a high-profile campaign where respect and proposals prevail.” The message responds, without alluding to it, to Leopoldo López and the accusation that he formulated earlier against the delegation of the Democratic Unitary Platform of being “infiltrated” by the Maduro government
«We urge all political factors that are committed to the struggle for change to raise the level of political debate and, consequently, act with the sense of historical responsibility and detachment that the moment demands of us, always keeping in mind the value that unity has to successfully achieve change”, he expressed in a released statement the night of this Thursday, January 12, the Democratic Unitary Platform (PUD).
The coalition led by Omar Barboza (UNT) points out that «The adversary is in Miraflores and not among usTherefore, no one should attack the unit by making unfounded accusations and disqualifications against fellow fighters.
“No difference between us can attempt, much less place itself above the true unity of objectives that the people demand of us.”
Although it does not allude to it, the communication responds to the statements made by Leopoldo López (Popular Will) that denounced that “the dictatorship of Nicolás Maduro has infiltrated the delegation of the Unitary Platform», in a virtual press conference with the Foreign Press Association of Venezuela.

The PUD calls for “a true unity of action and objectives is an irreplaceable superior value in the struggle for the freedom of Venezuela and therefore it is our duty to maintain and strengthen the unity that we have built together.”
They also express their “unequivocal support for the National Primary Commission and the work they have been doing.”
“The Primary is a fighting tool unanimously agreed upon by all political forces to legitimize leadership and build superior unity with the determined participation of citizens through voting.”
“We promise to carry out a high-level campaign where respect and proposals prevail, and in this way be in tune with what Venezuelans expect of us.”
“We Venezuelans hope that, within the framework of the negotiation in Mexico, a free election process will be obtained as a result that will allow the country to obtain freedom and democracy. We demand the freedom of political prisoners and we reiterate our commitment to the fight for the defense and respect for the human rights of all Venezuelans.”
Finally, we urge all the political factors that are committed to the fight for change to raise the level of political debate and, consequently, act with the sense of historical responsibility and detachment that the moment demands of us, always keeping in mind the value that unity has to successfully achieve change.
