The Undersecretary of the Interior, Manuel Monsalve, arrived in the Calama commune, in the Antofagasta region, after the two shootings that left a total of five injured and two dead. One of them was killed by police officers after a police chase.
Specifically, the Undersecretary of State met with about twenty local and police authorities in the Provincial Delegation of El Loa in order to specify measures to prevent the repetition of this type of crime.

It should be remembered that during the day last Wednesday, Monsalve announced the reinforcement of the police contingent with 26 carabineros and the advancement of the implementation of the Plan Calles sin Violencia in the Municipality.
Meanwhile, Mayor Eliecer Chamorro announced a communal stoppage for this Friday in Calama. The foregoing, after the shootings registered in a police station and in the bus terminal of the city, and which resulted in the death of at least two people.
