The Cuban Raibet Machado won this Tuesday a pair of bronze medals in the 55-kilogram division corresponding to the tournament of Weightlifting that distributes quotas in the capital of Dominican Republic for those to come Central American and Caribbean Games of San Salvador 2023.
Machado finished in third position in the clean and jerk modality by lifting 128 kilograms, to contribute the first Cuban medal in the contest, according to a report from the Prensa Latina (PL) agency.

The representative of the island added a second prize on the opening day of the contest by signing the third best total among all the contestants in the division.
The host weightlifters were the main protagonists of the day, winning several medals as a result of the excellent performance of Beatriz Pirón in the female 49-kilogram category, the newspaper highlighted.
