The Space Memory and Human Rights ex-Esma will carry out this Tuesday a tribute to the Pallottine Martyrs, within the framework of the 46th anniversary of the Saint Patrick Massacre, with the purpose of commemorating Catholic priests Alfredo Kelly, Alfredo Leaden and Pedro Dufau and the seminarians Emilio Barletti and Salvador Barbeito Doval, assassinated in 1976, during the last civic-military dictatorship.
The event is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m., at the Casa de Madres de Plaza de Mayo Línea Fundadora, within the Memory and Human Rights Space ex-ESMA, at Av. del Libertador 8151, in the city of Buenos Aires.
The member of the Madres de Plaza de Mayo Founding Line Taty Almeida and the Secretary of Human Rights of the Nation, Horacio Pietragalla Corti, will participate in the tribute to the five religious assassinated by State terrorism.
The priests Leaden, Dufau and Kelly and the seminarians Barbeito Doval and Barletti – members of the Catholic congregation of the Pallottines – were murdered 46 years ago, on July 4, 1976, by a “task group” in the parish house they lived in. in the neighborhood of Belgrano, in an event that became known as the “Massacre of the Church of San Patricio”.
The tribute will also have the presence of Pablo Bocca, parish priest of San Patricio de Belgrano; Francisco Chirichella, vice-postulator for the cause of canonization, and Ramiro Varela, member of Pallottines for Memory, Truth and Justice.
Since last year, the community of that parish has promoted actions such as amicus curiae (friend of the court) in the case of crimes against humanity that is being followed by these murders, but so far there is no news in the file.
The group “Palotinos for Memory, Truth and Justice” insists on reactivating the investigation of a case that is being investigated by federal judge Ariel Lijo.
