The young trapeze artist fell from a height of more than four meters, while making her presentation in Acacias, Meta.
Colombia News.
When she jumped, a young trapeze artist from a circus in Acacias, Meta, fell to the floor, being injured and had to be taken out on a stretcher amid the commotion of those attending the show, especially the children, “they screamed” , as they have shared through social networks.
It happened this weekend during one of the functions of the night.
The acrobat was doing one of the presentations when she suddenly let go of the hoop and there was nothing to break her fall. “She almost fell on her head,” said one of the viewers.
Given her ability, the trapeze artist was able to accommodate herself in the air so as not to fall headfirst, although if she suffered head trauma, it was not serious.
As reported by some of those present at the show, several children ended up crying when they saw that blood came out and that the young woman was taken out on a stretcher.
Many question that there is no security mesh precisely to avoid these blows against the floor.
Until now, local authorities in Acacias have not commented on the security protocols that circus tents and other events where stunts are performed should have.
In the case of El Gran Circo, which they point out is that it makes visits to different municipalities and towns in Meta and where the accident occurred, they have not made a statement either.
Local media indicate that the young woman has been recovering under medical care since Saturday.
One of the spectators went up the moment when the trapeze artist was already being attended to on the floor, “out of respect I don’t go up the fall.”
