José Luis Trocel, president of the United Transportation Front of the state of Aragua and general secretary of the Interunion Transportation Command, reported that the sector is debating with the Ministry of Transportation to raise the urban fare to 3 bolívares.

Trocel justified the approach of raising the ticket based on the reform of the Law of Large Financial Transactions (IGTF), which implies a tax on operations with foreign currency. Although according to the decree that contemplates it, said tribute should only be paid in businesses classified as special taxpayers.

In an interview with Radio Unionthe carrier commented on fuel shortages.

“Last week we had two meetings. One in the Ministry of Transportation and the other in the Vice Presidency of Public Works. What we want is for these dialogues to become realities, because it makes no sense that in a country with such an extensive public service, we dialogue and do not reach a concrete and tangible agreement. The situation of these dialogues touched on all the issues that have to do with public transport. Like fuel, fare, the implementation of the VeTicket, and all those situations that are affecting us », he said.

Trocel called for the subsidized fuel for public transport to be guaranteed and for the agreements reached at service stations to be respected.

«There are colleagues who are equipping once a week and that is unsustainable in a family. The family patrimony is being destroyed », she said.
