This Sunday, October 16, starting at 11 in the morning, the TORTUPALOOZA will take place, the largest gathering of fans in the country of the famous Ninja Turtles. It will be a great family event that will bring together all the lovers of these super-powerful turtles, with exhibitions, collectible stores, cosplay, contests, dynamics, discussions, among others. This event will take place at Calle Portocarrero 344, Surquillo. Free entry.
It should be noted that the organization of the event is in charge of the Ninja House combo, fanatic collectors of Ninja Turtles, to which Rafomagia belongs, who is also a well-known rapper, has more than three thousand figures and collectible items of these famous movie heroes and television, the same ones that are currently being exhibited in the largest Ninja Turtles museum in Latin America located in the Mall del Sur in San Juan de Miraflores.
Of all the articles that it has, the ‘Scratch Cat’ stands out, of expensive value. He also a comic signed by the co-creator of this series, Kevin Eastman. In addition to the figures of these superheroes in their vintage, classic and current versions. And the complete line of war vehicles, where the ‘Turtle Blimp’ and the ‘Party Wagon’ stand out.
This fanatic collector clarifies that the Ninja Turtles not only serve to provide entertainment, but go further by transmitting a series of values such as inclusion and respect for people or creatures that are different. “The Ninja Turtles were initially seen as monsters but because of their actions they were later accepted as different, respected and loved beings. In addition, among them there are four different personalities: Leonardo the responsible and leader, Donatello, the most intelligent, Michelangelo, the funny one, and Rafael the temperamental one, who despite their differences respect each other”.
Rafomagia He started his collection in 2010, when a friend of his gave him a turtle house called ‘Sewer Playset’. “My mom gave me a Raphael doll when she was seven years old, which I still have. My neighbors collected ThunderCats and He-Man figures, and I only collected the turtles, ”he recalls.
His passion for collecting has led him to create, since 2017, his YouTube channel ‘Ninja House’, which has more than 40,000 subscribers and where topics such as: collectible figures, drawings, series and movies are discussed. “We promote a very nice hobby, which is collecting,” he says.
His other passion is music, being a well-known hip hop singer. His musical career began in 1996 when he founded the group ‘Clan Urbano’. He has played in Chile, and record labels from Germany, France and the United States included his group’s songs on an album with the best of Latin American Rap with outstanding groups such as: ‘Control Machete’ from Mexico and ‘Orishas’ from Cuba.
Among his other achievements is the production of the music for the series “La gran sangre” by Aldo Miyashiro and the album “Siete Colores” where Eva Ayllón and Raúl Romero participated, among other national artists. In addition, his group ‘Clan Urbano’ was the winner of the Claro Festival in 2010.
