The official presentation of the Experimental Census by the National Institute of Statistics (INE) is scheduled for this Monday at 10:00 am. It will take place at the institution’s headquarters, located on Avda. Boggiani almost Cirilo Rivarola in Asunción.
This census will be a pilot plan prior to the National Population and Housing Census (CNPV) 2022, to be carried out in October this year and which will cover the length and breadth of the national territory.
Hundreds of census takers will carry out house-to-house visits in two locations chosen for this purpose: Lambaré, in the Central department, and December 25, in the San Pedro area. In the case of the first city, about 11 neighborhoods were chosen to carry out the consultations.
The date set for this experimental census is Sunday, May 7, according to Iván Ojeda, director of the National Institute of Statistics (INE).
It is expected that a web page will also be enabled soon, so that those interested in working as census takers can register online.
It should be remembered that the National Population and Housing Census is carried out every 10 years in our country and has a national scope, in order to obtain updated data on the population and its standard of living, as well as other aspects related to education, socioeconomic reality , access to basic services, among other aspects.
