The former sub-prefect of Arequipa, Nolberto Delgadoheld congressmen Álex Paredes, María Agüero and Jaime Quito responsible for Free Perudue to his departure from office, where he only remained for a little over 4 months.
In a conversation with La República, Delgado maintained that the parliamentarians would have brought wrong information about his person to the President of the Republic, peter castle. For example, they would have shown him a card that showed his affiliation with the Peruvians for Change (PPK) party, which —according to the former sub-prefect— is false. “Professor Castillo has been surprised by these bad congressmen,” he said.
On the other hand, he reaffirmed in saying that they wanted to impose sub-prefects. He blamed people close to Álex Paredes, a congressman from the so-called teachers’ bloc.
He added that, among the designated sub-prefects, he found people who they did not do a proper job. He said that he made visits to the sub-prefects of Pocsi and Sabandía and never found them.
Delgado also reiterated his criticism of the Arequipa congressmen and described their actions as “a shame”. He even questioned the work and professional past of the pencil party legislators.
