The Miguel E. Schulz High School 8 of the UNAM indicated that after having met various demands from its student community, it is ready to return to its activities tomorrow.

Through a statement, the school management indicated that it had already responded to some of the demands of the petition that was presented to it on January 12.

Among the actions that it has already begun to take, he said, is the issuance of a technical opinion for the installation of emergency (panic) buttons, which was sent to Gerardo Loyo Martínez, general director of University Analysis, Protection and Security.

The authorities also assured that the rehabilitation work of student spaces has already begun, with the aim of having dignified and safe spaces for the entire communityand 10 infographics were delivered related to equality and gender violence for dissemination among the community of this campus.

Also, The staff of the Ombudsman for University Rights, Equality and Attention to Gender Violence was attended, with the purpose of being able to collect the complaints that took place and promote the culture of denunciation, agreeing verbally to carry out these sessions at least once a month.

With the above, he indicated the address of High School 8, compliance with the points indicated in the request document is given and it is agreed to have the necessary conditions to resume academic-administrative work next Monday, January 16, 2023.
