Today 704 new cases of COVID were detected in the country, 44 in Cologne

According to information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 7,602 tests were carried out and 704 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected.

Of the 704 new cases, 336 are from Montevideo, 75 from Canelones, 44 from Colonia, 32 from Cerro Largo, 32 from Durazno, 32 from Maldonado, 26 from San José, 25 from Tacuarembo, 24 from Flores, 17 from Florida, 14 from from Lavalleja, 12 from Paysandú, 10 from Rocha, 7 from Rivera, 7 from Treinta y Tres, 4 from Salto, 4 from Soriano, 2 from Artigas and 1 from Río Negro.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 6,011,747 tests have been processed and 888,639 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 875,335 have already recovered.

Today, 2 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were registered in our country (detailed table is attached). So far there are 7,161 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 6,143 active cases, that is, people who are experiencing the disease, 39 of them are in critical care centers.

Of the total confirmed positive cases, 19,826 correspond to health personnel. 19,638 of them have already recovered, 158 are suffering from the disease and 30 have died.

To date, all departments register active cases.
