A total of 16,473 signatures validated in the process for the request for the revocation of the mandate of the mayor of the district of Panama, José Luis Fábrega, have been counted until this Monday, May 23, as reported by the Electoral Tribunal (TE).
This figure represents a percentage of 12% of the total of 198,920 signatures of support that must be reached, and that corresponds to 30% of the Electoral Register for the position of mayor of the capital district, in the 2019 elections.
The process of collecting signatures to support the request for the revocation of the mandate against Mayor Fábrega, began on April 20, and to reach the required figure, the promoters of the initiative have a period of 120 days, from the start of the process.
