Tiphanie Rodríguez: Creator of artistic pieces in Trops

Tiphanie is also studying Tourism and Hotel Business Administration.
The entrepreneur, a native of Santo Domingo Este, found her passion and way of making art in the “croshet”; her grandmother had a great influence on her

Tiphanie Rodríguez, 20 years old, is a dreamy, creative and daring young woman, who with a needle and thread seeks to bring joy to her clients through her handmade confections.

Weaving personalized pieces such as swimsuits, blouses, hats, tops, among other pieces, the young woman seeks to make her clients feel unique, special and free when they wear her garments that are made of 50% wool and 50% love.

“With all this, I want people to feel free to wear unique pieces like them, in their size and measure, that will help them to stand out wherever they go and know that each chain and centimeter of that piece was made with all the love. of the world to complement her person ”, is the description of the objectives indicated by the entrepreneur.

Originally from Santo Domingo Este, where until then she lives with her mother, whom she considers a fighter woman who works every day to help her build her best version.

Rodríguez discovered a year ago the passion for crochet, known as the technique of weaving with wool yarn and told this medium that she inherited it from her grandmother, who also weaves and influences the path she decided to undertake.

However, she considers herself self-taught because unlike her grandmother, who knits hats and cloths for the house, she decided to combine her passion with something she likes, “fashion”.

“One of the people with the most influence on me is my grandmother; She is one of the most important pillars of my life, I always see her knitting cloths and hats, something that influenced me a bit, but unlike her I decided to lean towards shoelaces, wool yarn and fashion ”, she indicated . By sharing his work on the networks and seeing the acceptance of the audience, he took the opportunity and decided to undertake. Among the pieces made, the client will be able to find: tops, crop tops, beanies and swimsuits. In addition to knitting, the young woman can also embroider, paint clothes and decorate.

Rodríguez says that he began creating 2 blouses for a girl and never imagined that his business would grow to such a level that he would even take his pieces abroad, something that significantly marks the evolution of his business.

“I started creating two tops for a girl and since then, without a doubt I have grown as I would never have imagined, that I have created with my hands much more than 80 different pieces… it is little or not, but for me, even if it is one piece, full my soul of joy knowing that my hands gave life to an idea that will make my client happy ”, he explained.

Tiphanie can be contacted through her social networks as @tropsRD_ or through the number 809-413-3740.

Credentials

The idea of Trops arises from the combination of the pieces that the young entrepreneur makes and the initials of her name, which is: Tiphanie Rodríguez + Tops = Trops.

“I chose that name by putting my initials” TR “inside the word” Tops “, to turn something from the ordinary to the extraordinary in the blink of an eye within the normal,” he highlights.

Tiphanie, who also studies Tourism and Hotel Business Administration at O&M University, says that another reason that motivated her to create her own source of income is because she has had bad experiences with business owners who do not value their employees, making them feel less.

“What lit that light inside me was when I was able to contemplate how some people, due to having a better position and owning a company, want to make you see and treat you as at least, due to some other experience that I had, I decided take a risk and do for the first time what today makes me feel free and motivated; crochet, ”she explains.

With Trops he seeks not only to avoid having to be employed to run the risk of going through these situations, but he also wants to create jobs in the future and not fall into this practice.

“Hopefully one day my business will grow so much that it will be the key to giving jobs to people who, like me, are passionate and motivated to create art with their hands and who are part of every closet.”
