The Government of Concepción filed a claim against the Ministry of Public Works for abandonment of works established for the department.
The secretary of works of the Government of Concepción, Estanislao Ovelar, told the journalist Ángel Flecha of Nación Media, that weeks ago the repair of the Retiro Alegre-Itacuá section, a complicated 33-kilometer stretch, was planned with the MOPC.
However, he indicated that when carrying out the works, the Ministry did not comply with what was promised, alleging that they did not have fuel or machinery despite the commitment assumed.
The Government official added that they also worked together with the Municipality of Itacuá to try to alleviate the dire situation on the road.
