Three police officers from the Baruta municipality (Miranda) were arrested for their alleged participation in a homicide that occurred early Monday morning on Libertador Avenue, Caracas.
The information was disclosed by the Instagram of the Cicpc where it is indicated that the detained uniformed officers are: Isaac de Jesús Álvarez Zuniaga, Henry Moisés Rodríguez Gutiérrez and Dodannym Piñero Muñoz, attached to the Directorate of the Polibaruta Criminal Investigation Service.
The victim is a 17-year-old homeless man, whose body was transferred by officials to a wooded area on the Oripoto-Santa Lucía highway, La Mata sector, El Hatillo municipality (Miranda), according to what was published by the cicpc.
Originally, the policemen said that they had been surprised by a subject in Plaza Venezuela who wanted to rob them of their belongings, forcing agent Isaac Álvarez to use his weapon. The Cicpc questioned the officials several times and determined that this version did not correspond to the facts.
The scientific police are working on the full identification of the murdered man with dark skin, a thin build, short, curly, black hair, 1.65 centimeters tall.
