La Romana.- The Judicial Office of Permanent Attention of La Romana imposed this Wednesday three months of preventive detention on two men accused of the death of the American citizen Jeffrey Richard Mcmahon (Jeff) who was a free zone executive killed with a knife in a Country House village.
The coercive measure was issued against Carlos Manuel Zorrilla Mercedes, 37 years old, and Wander Domingo Peralta Vásquez alias Ñaño or Greña, 22 years old, domiciled in the municipality of Villa Hermosa.
Judge Franchesca Silvestre accepted the request of the Public Ministry, represented by prosecutor Yalissa Candelario.
The defendants must comply with the measure in the model prison of the Cucama Correction and Rehabilitation Center (CCR-15), in La Romana.

According to the authorities, the detainees admitted their participation in the event, indicating that they allegedly met the deceased through an application to find couples online.
The alleged perpetrators of the crime were arrested by agents of Criminal Investigations (Dicrim), in the company of the Public Ministry, members of the Preventive Police and the Toppo Unit.
The authorities have in their possession the murder weapon (a knife), the deceased’s vehicle in which they escaped, an empty safe, bloody clothing and an unspecified amount of money.
One of those involved was arrested at the Dubai nightclub, in La Romana, on the Wednesday night following the crime, which occurred on Sunday, May 1.
Death
That night a man, aboard the victim’s vehicle, presented the “Jeff” card, which is used to access the hotel, at the security booth; but feeling discovered, he fled until he broke the barrier.
Jefrey Richard Mcmahon worked as Quality, Industrial Safety, Occupational Health and Environment Manager at the Tabacalera de García company.
