Three members of the Farc dissidents are captured in Tumaco (Nariño)

The authorities in Nariño confirmed a heavy blow to the Iván Ríos structure of the Farc dissidents, who commits a crime in that region of the country.

The events were recorded in the village of Chilvicito, in the District of Tumaco, where a raid on a house materialized and a woman and two men suspected of being members of the Residual Organized Armed Group (GAOR) were captured in flagrante delicto.

“In the framework of the ‘Atlas’ military and police campaign, the capture of three alleged members of the GAOR structure Iván Ríos was achieved, as well as the recovery of a minor and the seizure of war material,” said Colonel Edwin Rojas, commander of the Nariño Department Police.

According to the official report, while the captured were transferred to the competent authorities, one of them tried to take the rifle from a member of the army and in the middle of the struggle, he was injured. However, the man was helped by the public force.

“During the operation, one of the subjects known by the alias Eight Trunks, head of the commission of this structure, tried to take the rifle from one of the soldiers and was injured in the struggle. After the quick reaction of the soldiers, he was given first aid and was taken to a medical center in the district of Tumaco”, highlights one of the sections of the official police report.

Finally, The colonel assured that a minor was rescued and it was learned that apparently the minor was forced to be part of that illegal group. However, she was handed over to the Colombian Family Welfare Institute (ICBF) for the restoration of her rights.
