Three members of the criminal organization “El Tren de Aragua” were killed in the Carlos Arvelo municipality, after confronting officials of the Carabobo Police.
Commissioner Yosbel Solórzano, general director of the Carabobo Police, reported that the event occurred in the Belén sector, in the west of the state, when the subjects attacked the commissions and an armed confrontation ensued.
“The commissions attached to the La Isabelica and Los Bucares police stations, deployed on the Belén-Cocorote National Highway, sighted a group of men moving on motorcycles, who assumed a suspicious attitude when they received the voice to stop and a persecution, during which the subjects drew their weapons and opened fire on the uniformed officers,” he explained.
Solórzano commented that the three criminals were seriously injured and were immediately transferred to a care center in the area, where they died after their admission.
The criminals killed were nicknamed “El Guajiro”, “El Cara Cuadrá” and alias “El Kenny”, all of them members of the Structured Group of Organized Crime “El Tren de Aragua”, dedicated to committing crimes such as homicides, kidnappings, extortion, robbery and theft, in addition to being involved in public and notorious criminal acts that occurred in the past.
In addition, he added that these criminals were involved in the murder of a spokeswoman for the Belén community council, which occurred in 2021, as well as in the murder of two Sebin officials, registered a year and a half ago; in injuries with a firearm to two other officials of the Carabobo Police and in the murder of a Cicpc commissioner, which occurred after a misleading offer through Marketplace.
