Three drug traffickers sentenced to 17 years in prison

On September 28, 2021, three people were arrested with 200 kilos of drugs in his possession in El Aromo, a rural area of Manabi. This seizure was achieved thanks to a secret operation of the National Police with agents from the Special Operations Group (GOE) and the Intervention and Rescue Operations Group (GIR). From that, three people were sentenced to 17 years and 3 months in prison after being accused of the crime of drug trafficking cocaine. The Prosecutor’s Office announced it on its Twitter account. The sentence was given on February 22, 2022 in a Court of Criminal Guarantees of Manabí.
