Three Colombian drug traffickers are sentenced for introducing more than 100 kilos of cocaine into the country

The First Specialized Prosecutor for Drug-Related Crimes, in a guarantee hearing, managed to issue a conviction of 112 months in prison for Manuel Alfredo Sánchez Valencia, and 100 months in prison for Deimer Guido Rodríguez and Juan Camilo Ibargen, respectively, all from Colombian nationality, for the commission of the crime of international drug trafficking that occurred on July 4, 2023, on Isla San José, Las Perlas Archipelago.

At the hearing, the Prosecutor’s Office, represented by prosecutor Delia Burgos, presented the elements of conviction that link those sentenced to the punishable act, for which reason the guarantee judge Gloria González validated the sentence agreement, issuing a conviction.

The three convicts were apprehended southwest of San José Island, introducing into the national territory 88 packages of cocaine weighing 101.88 kilograms, aboard an unnamed vessel.
