Candidates pre-selected in the second call of the University for All Program (Prouni) have until this Wednesday (4) to present their documentation to the desired higher education institutions. The Ministry of Education (MEC) announced, on August 23, in the Single Portal for Access to Higher Educationthe result of the second call for the selection process of the University for All Program (Prouni) for the second semester of 2024.
Candidates may submit their documents in person or online to prove the information provided in their application. At this stage, those shortlisted may also have to participate in the institution’s own selection process. Universities and colleges must send candidates proof that the documents have been received.
Waiting list
Those who wish to join the waiting list must express their interest through Prouni pageon September 11th and 12th, 2024. The waiting list will be available to higher education institutions on September 17th. Candidates will also be able to consult it at Prouni page.
Program
Created in 2004 by Law No. 11,096/2005, the University for All Program offers full and partial scholarships for undergraduate and specific training courses at private higher education institutions. Prouni takes place twice a year and is aimed at students without a higher education diploma.
In 2024, the MEC offered 651,483 scholarships in Prouni, including full (100%) and partial (50%). In both editions of the year, the program had 910,419 candidates enrolled. Since each participant can choose up to two courses, Prouni had more than 1.8 million applications this year.
