ABC of the minimum wage deindexation decree: keys and details

This is the package of 85 rates deindexed from the minimum wage

Through three decrees, The National Government prioritized the deindexation of 85 elements of the economy that were currently tied to the increase in the minimum wage for the beginning of 2023. This was an agreement of the Council of Ministers and the Salary Agreement Table, in order to protect the purchasing power of Colombian households.

To this end, the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit advanced in the issuance of these three regulatory decrees, through which it was possible to de-index charges, fees, fines, sanctions, rates and stamps, among others. From now on, these elements would be tied only to the growth of inflation.

Through the package of decrees issued, the National Government promotes the decrease in the increase of some rates, such as:

1. The rate applied for those who want to participate in contest merits by the National Civil Service Commission.

2. The cost corresponding to the habilitation of transport companies.

3. The tuition fees and pecuniary rights for students of the complementary training program of official Superior Normal Schools.

Four. The Compulsory Traffic Accident Insurance (Soat), and its rate manual.

Decree 2640 of December 30, 2022

“By which Decrees 1069 of 2015 are modified, the Only Regulatory of the Justice and Law Sector, 1078 of 2015, the Only Regulatory of the Information and Communication Technologies Sector and 1080 of 2015, the Only Regulatory of the Culture Sector”. (See decree).

Decree 2642 of December 30, 2022

“By which Decree 2555 of 2010 and Decrees 1072 of 2015 Sole Regulatory of the Labor Sector, 1074 of 2015 Sole Regulatory of the Sector, Commerce, Industry and Tourism, 1075 of 2015 Sole Regulatory of the Education Sector and 1079 of 2015 are modified Sole Regulation of the Transport Sector”.
