The second edition of the Habana Mambo Festival, an international music, dance and popular traditions convention, will take place in that city from August 24 to 28 after the date was postponed due to the tragic events at the Matanzas Supertanker Base.
The event will have its main venue in the Salón Rosado de La Tropical, and will be inaugurated with two days of “Casineando en la Tropical”, a duel of casino wheels in which the dancers will compete to the sound of various Cuban groups.
For the closing, on Sunday the 28th, an action is being prepared in support of the Venezuelan casino movement. That same night there will be a concert by Alexander Abreu and Havana D’ Primera, CUBADISCO 2022 Grand Prix with the album Will it be over.
In the “Habana Mambo” fair, in the areas outside La Tropical, there will be sales of books, records, gastronomic offers.
The “Dale Mambo” colloquium will take place at the Hotel Meliá Habana with the participation of musicologists, researchers, creators, journalists and project leaders.
Under the direction of musician Arnaldo Rodríguez, Habana Mambo Festival promises to become an option for the cultural closure of vacations in the Cuban capital.
