The Public Ministry announced its institutional campaign #EscuchoCreoDenuncio to detect and report cases of child sexual abuse.
The Prosecutor’s Office reported the mechanisms used in Child Abuse, such as when the abuser approaches the victim, gives him things, takes him to eat what he likes, tells him he is special, until fully gaining his trust to induce him under deception to participate in sexual activities.
It can also happen that the aggressor uses pressure, physical force and/or violence to subdue the victim.
Child sexual abuse involves the intimate and personal transgression of the boy or girl. It is a type of physical and psychological abuse. It can be through systematic manipulation without violence, under lies or deception, or it can also be by force and violence.
Abused boys or girls do not always have symptoms at first sight, however, we must be attentive to the following signs: changes in behavior, type of strange drawings or games, changing and altered moods, sleep disorders, and fear or rejection of sites and/or people.
What should an adult do in a case of Child Sexual Abuse? Listen, Believe, and Report to the National Police and Public Ministry authorities, institutions that have the function of investigating what happened.
