Univida denounced this Thursday the illegal sale of fake Soat rosettes that are marketed on social networks. There is a 22-year-old person in custody.

“It has been possible to find an irregular sale of the Mandatory Traffic Accident Insurance (Soat), through Facebook pages, where the sale of rosettes was offered,” reported Sebastián Einar, a Univida official.

The operation was carried out on February 8, when a 22-year-old man was detected selling the policies for 200 bolivianos.

The man is prosecuted for fraud, use of a forged instrument and material and ideological falsehood, the official said.

Univida clarified that in 2022 the digital rosette that can be downloaded through electronic devices will come into effect, “that is, the physical rosette is no longer used.”
