A request for Revocation of Mandate against the Representative of the Chicá Township, Chame district, Nélida Núñez, was presented on the morning of this Friday, May 20, by Professor Gaspar González.
At 10:30 in the morning, González went to the offices of the Electoral Court in the district of La Chorrera, assuring that despite the fact that representative Núñez was sentenced by the Court of Auditors, for property damage to the detriment of the Treasury of Chame City Hall.
He specified that the injury is due to a check that was drawn by Núñez from the Mayor’s Treasury, for an amount of $4,958.
He stressed that a person convicted of this type of action does not have the characteristics and specifications to be able to manage the resources of a township that houses some 800 citizens.
He assured that the representative does not provide accountability to the community and does not hold open meetings to discuss with the residents the projects that are needed in this corregimiento.
“He has shown an inability to administer the resources and funds of the State, that is, the Chicaeño people,” he said, noting that Núñez has been re-elected in office for five terms due to political patronage; Well, he ensures that he delivers materials and other donations in the community to ensure votes.
He stated that after the Electoral Court accepts the memorial, it will be time to collect 30% of the signatures of the total that appears in the electoral roll of the district of Chicá.
The citizen specified that they have no political aspirations and that he submitted the request for the good of the community.
