This 2022 in Cusco will start an environmental project that will seek to recover the degraded ecosystems of the native communities of the Great Shinungari, Kipachiari, Kapirushato, Sampantuari of the district of Kimbiri and Pichari, in the province of La Convención, within the framework of the decentralized strategy called Tinkuy.

To this end, a technical team from the Institute for Water and Environment Management of the Cusco Regional Government held a coordination meeting with the mayor of Kimbiri and his officials, in order to finalize actions that will allow the prompt launch of the project. which contemplates a budget of more than 16 million soles.
The initiative will also benefit more than 700 families and around 4,000 inhabitants of 04 native communities in the districts of Pichari and Kimbiri, who will also be trained on the proper management of forests, so that they can take advantage of their resources in an appropriate manner. promoting the economic development of the area and at the same time, provide job opportunities to the locals of these communities.
Representatives of the native communities of the Kimbiri district were also present at this meeting, who thanked the prioritization, financing and execution of the “Pichari – Kimbiri” Environmental Project, “This is the first time that this type of investment has been carried out in our communities, this will improve our living conditions for that we are very grateful”, they maintained.
