They restore traffic on the La Oroya - Huancayo route after more than 11 hours of blockade

After more than 11 hours of interruption, vehicular traffic was restored at kilometer 46+100 of the La Oroya -Huancayo road, at the height of the Chapopampa sector, in the district of Rosario Curicaca. The road had been blocked by a landslide and rock, product of heavy rains in the area.

The cleaning works were in charge of the Concessionary Company Deviandes, which deployed heavy machinery to remove the material that obstructed the road. However, the work was complicated by constant landslides, which extended the closure of the affected section.

Given the situation, some carriers chose to take the alternate route La Oroya – Tarma – Jauja. However, several interprovincial buses and heavy load vehicles were stranded for long hours, generating discomfort and delays. Finally, the road was released and the transit resumed normally.
