They rescued seven crew members from a stranded boat

The Coastal Surveillance Command rescued seven crew members from a boat that was adrift on the high seas at the height of the Las Cumaraguas sector, Coro (Falcón), according to military sources.

The ship, named “Captain Peter”, registration AMMT-CA-0010, “ran aground due to a fault in the steering system,” the report says.

Civil Protection Falcón was patrolling the Cumaraguas when he observed the boat and proceeded to rescue its crew, identified as Jin Ollarves, Yeferson Díaz, Ángel Sánchez, Alexander González, Joel Ollarves, Oscar Carrera and José Ávila.

The latter died upon disembarking from the ship, presumably due to a heart attack.

The rescued were transferred to the Naval Hospital, located at the Punto Fijo Naval Base, where they were evaluated.
