They report limits on operations with a magnetic card during the day

The Central Bank of Cuba reported on its website the limit of operations carried out with a magnetic card during the day.

He explained that the card-issuing banks, for security reasons, are in charge of establishing the limit on an account; although customers can increase or decrease these limits whenever they wish, using the Mobile Banking application (Transfermóvil) or requesting the modification of the contract at the issuing bank of their card.

Among the limits of operations on magnetic cards for Bandec, it is specified that in the case of ATMs, the maximum limit on the day is 15,000 CUP, and the limit per operation amounts to 5,000 CUP. The number of daily trades is 10.

Regarding electronic payment channels (POS, Transfermóvil, Enzona), the maximum limit on the day is 30,000 CUP and 15,000 USD; per operation is 30,000 CUP and 15,000 USD; and the number of operations amounts to 20 daily for CUP and 10 for MLC.

Banco Metropolitano (Banmet) maintains the same limits for ATMs; but in the case of electronic payment channels, it allows a maximum limit on the day of 30,000 CUP and 100,000 USD; and a similar limit per operation.

The number of operations in Banmet amounts to 20 daily for CUP and five for MLC.
