Alejandro Astesiano is the head of the Presidential Security Service of Luis Lacalle Pou. This Wednesday he had two of the three criminals who robbed his son in front of him, but he preferred not to shoot to protect the safety of some of the neighbors who saw everything. They received him with a clean bullet when they heard the engine of a truck arriving.
On route 1 and Camino Cibils, the man was almost at the junction with route 5, to go to Florida, when he received a call from an unknown number. He answered. On the other side, his 21-year-old son said, with a slightly altered voice and with a borrowed cell phone, who had been robbed on the way out of his house.
It was at 3:30 p.m. when, after hitting one of the victims with a rifle butt, the criminals (known in the Conciliación neighborhood as “Los cabecitas”) managed to steal their motorcycle, a cell phone and documents. The three entered a house, located on a passage in the neighborhood.
Astesiano, who is a police officer, was only a few blocks away from the scene of the robbery, so he redirected his route in his truck to Millán and Alberto Gómez Ruano avenues, where his son and another friend (also a victim) had seen those arriving. they had stolen. As Astesiano (50 years old) sped towards that direction, he called the police Unified Command Center.
Upon arrival, her son and the friend were half a block from where the three men had hidden. It was very close to where the event occurred, so it was not difficult to follow them with their eyes.
His truck was received with shotgun and revolver shots by two of the criminals. One of them even wore gloves to avoid leaving fingerprints on the weapon and ran to confront him.
Police sources told The Observer who are 20 and 21 years old, while a third party is a fugitive, already identified. The police plan to locate him in the next few hours, given that he was also ordered house arrest. They are the three authors of the fact.
The son of the head of Presidential Security was clear about where they were. He even saw them in a courtyard of the house. When the man was shot, he chose not to shoot.but by backing up in his truck. It was the police who then entered the house, looking for the men, one of whom had already escaped through a rear exit from the house.
At the home, the police seized drugs, weapons and stolen belongings. Except for the cell phone that the fugitive took, the researchers believe.
Neighbors of the place know the young people, who are linked to the sale of drugs and have committed other crimes, added sources of the case.
