A proposal so that the celebration of a patriotic parade on November 28, in commemoration of the independence of Panama from Spain, can be held in the capital city, was submitted to the Ministry of Education (Meduca)
The proposal made by Chapter 1 of the National Federation of Independent Gangs of Panama, according to its president, Luis Antonio Miller, was given because the student population and the group of gangs has grown a lot, to celebrate the independence of Panama from Spain. , so they proposed that, starting this year, a parade can be held on November 28 in the capital city.
«Make it a family event with schools and independent bands. In La Chorrera we no longer fit all, the parades end very late and we want an alternative for this celebration. This year we propose that it be done on Sunday, November 27 and that we rest on Monday, November 28, which is free, “said Miller.
He added that the proposal presented to the Meduca includes a combined route, between Via España and Avenida Perú, starting at the MEF building. [antiguo Ifarhu] and that the parade ends in Porras Park.
The initial proposal includes 15 schools and approximately 10 independent bands; that the parade begins at 8:00 am and concludes around 6:30 pm.
This patriotic celebration is almost always celebrated in La Chorrera, in West Panama; In Boquete, Chiriquí province, and other locations in the country, it is now proposed that it be held in the center of the city, with which it seeks to reactivate the informal economy, in addition to tourism.
