The National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc), maintains monitoring and surveillance for rains and storms from September 6 to 9.

According to the Directorate of Hydrometeorology of the Electric Transmission Company (Etesa), rainy conditions are forecast for the next few days, associated with the oscillation of the Intertropical Convergence Zone, the interaction with low pressure systems on the Isthmus of Panama and supply of moisture by wind flow.

Among the vulnerable places are: mountainous sectors (landslides); coastal sectors (choppy sea, rip currents); Sectors near rivers and streams (floods, flash floods, headwaters).

Probability of accumulated rain for the next few days:

  • Eastern region 25-50 mm
  • Central Region 50-125mm
  • Western Region: accumulated greater than 100 mm
