Resolution No. 035-2022 of December 28, 2022, which regulates the use of beaches, lakes, rivers and/or spas in West Panama, was rendered null and void through Resolution No. 001-2023 of January 5, 2023, issued by the governor of the province Sindy Smith.

The Resolution explains that even when measures were adopted to minimize the risks in these places of public recreation, infractions continue to be committed both in terms of traffic, as well as misconduct by users who go to these places, putting security at risk. and their lives, as well as that of other users of public roads, which result in the occurrence of fatal accidents.

The Resolution urges the Mayors of the five (5) districts of the province of Panama Oeste, the Public Security groups and the Joint Task Force, to ensure compliance with the measures established in Executive Decree No. 830 of December 31, 2009, within the framework of their respective powers.

The new schedule, for the access and use of the beaches, rivers, lakes and/or public spas within the province of Panama Oeste, is from Monday to Sunday, from 6:00 am. to 5:30 p.m., for concessionaires, carriers, drivers of public passenger transport, or promoters that carry out activities for recreational purposes related to excursions or rides, and that also comply with the regulations established in Executive Decree No. 830 of December 31. December 2009.

In accordance with article 7 of Executive Decree No. 830 of December 31, 2009, the National Police is empowered to take the necessary measures to reinforce surveillance and security on the beaches, rivers, lakes and/or public spas of the province. of Panama West, in order to ensure faithful compliance with the provisions of the.
