According to statements by Morales, the morgue where the body is located understands the financial situation of the family and has the flexibility to wait as long as necessary, while funeral services are contracted. Once the payment is made, the family expects to receive the body at the Los Chiles border post.

«Thanks to the people who have really put their hand on their hearts and have contributed their grain of sand to us. Thank you very much, I thank you very much, God will reward you. We still lack money, we have faith that we will get it, “said the victim’s brother.

Without capturing the person responsible

“What happened is a tragedy that puts the Morales Morazán family in mourning,” laments Morales, who complained about the fact that the authorities have not yet been able to identify and capture the person responsible for the crime.

According to Jackson Morales, in following up on the case, the OIJ officials have informed him that they are working on the investigation, but have not yet received any results. «They told me that the investigation was always there. The attacker fled, but they are still at it. They are going to continue with this investigation until they find the subject and he can pay for what he has committed, “he commented for this report.

According to the information provided by the next of kin, Junior Morales had only arrived in Costa Rica three months and in his workplace he had earned the respect of his bosses for his dedication and performance. Although the brothers did not live together for work reasons, Jackson says that on December 31 he was able to speak with him and he told him that he was celebrating the end of the year.
